Introduction

CodeLab is excited to announce the continuation of CodeLab Open Source, a initiative aimed at fostering collaboration among UC Davis students through open-source projects. This program will provide members with the opportunity to contribute to real-world projects, develop practical coding skills, and work alongside peers and mentors on open-source software. Whether you're interested in contributing to established projects or helping to launch new ones, CodeLab Open Source will give you the platform to make a lasting impact.

  1. Learn new languages, tools, and frameworks
  2. Work with many contributors on one project
  3. Expand beyond web dev into packages and cross platform tools
  4. Contribute code that is publicly available for you to show off!

What is CodeLab Open Source?

Coding yourself is lonely. Why not code with others?

We take all the hassle out of finding a team and provide you with one instead. CodeLab will act as the facilitator: students apply through a short signup form, and we match them with existing projects based on their technical background, interests, and availability.

This program allows you to engage in meaningful software engineering projects, collaborate with peers, and advance your skills in programming, version control, and collaborative development.
